What is the Kickability program?
The AFL Kickability program is for young people aged 5-16, who identify living with disability, or may need some additional support playing Australian football. Should playing at your local football club be a little daunting, then Kickability is here to help your child. The program is aimed to provide families with the comfort that their child can play footy, however they like.
AFL NSW/ACT is open to hearing from everyone with a disability. If your disability is not listed above, please reach out to simon.wilson@afl.com.au to discuss. Children with various other physical and intellectual impairments are always welcome to be a part of the program!
What to expect at the Kickability progam?
With a focus on fun and skills development, the AFL NSW/ACT Kickability Program will look to provide junior participants with an opportunity to play Australian Football with their peers in a safe and inclusive environment. The Program will begin with participants joining a club and becoming part of a team in their local area with a focus to play games at the end of the year.
As the AFL NSW/ACT Rams Inclusion side is going from strength to strength in the National AFL Inclusion Carnival, the program will also look to provide a talent pathway for the younger generation of Australian Football players with an intellectual disability.
